Ashen Vow is the rare mobile RPG that trusts you to read. The writing carries real weight, and your party decisions actually bend the story in ways I didn't expect until a second playthrough. Combat is turn-based with a timing layer that keeps battles from going on autopilot.

Progression feels generous without being mindless. You unlock skill branches at a steady clip, and the gear system rewards experimentation rather than grinding the same fight for hours. I spent a good evening just rebuilding my tank and it genuinely changed how encounters played out.

The one caveat is that the opening chapter is slow. Push past it and the game opens up into something much bigger and more confident.
