Racing
Nitro Crescent
★★★★☆ 4.2
Nitro Crescent nails the arcade racing feel where drifting is the whole point. Tracks are built around long curves that beg you to slide, and the boost meter fills off clean drifts, so style and speed feed each other. It's immediately fun.
Tuning goes deeper than I expected for a mobile racer. You can tweak grip, gearing, and weight balance, and the changes are noticeable on the track. I turned one squirrely car into my favorite just by softening the rear grip.
Tilt controls work fine, but I switched to touch steering and had a much better time. The AI opponents can rubber-band a little on higher difficulties, which is my only real gripe.
What we liked
- Satisfying drift-and-boost loop
- Tuning that genuinely changes handling
- Great variety of track layouts
