Strategy
Iron Meridian
★★★★☆ 4.3
Iron Meridian is a slower, thinking-person's strategy game. You manage regions, route supplies, and position units on a hex map, and the campaigns give you long-term goals instead of endless skirmishes. It respects your intelligence and expects you to plan.
The interface took me a session to learn, but once it clicked I appreciated how much information it packs onto a phone screen without feeling cramped. Logistics is the real star here; running out of supply at the wrong moment has cost me more battles than any enemy army.
It's not a game to play in short bursts. Set aside a proper half hour and it rewards you with some genuinely tense standoffs.
What we liked
- Deep supply-line mechanics
- Campaigns with real long-term goals
- Dense but well-organized interface
