Why You Keep Losing in Iron Meridian (It's the Supply Lines)

If Iron Meridian keeps beating you, I'd bet it's not your tactics on the battlefield. It's that your army ran dry at the worst possible moment. Supply is the hidden main character of this game.

Before advancing, trace the route your units actually depend on. Every hex of distance from a depot stretches your supply thinner, and the game quietly penalizes stranded units with weaker attacks. I lost a whole campaign once to a bridge I never bothered to garrison.

Build forward depots early, even when it feels like wasted turns. A depot two regions ahead pays for itself the moment you need to press an advantage without retreating to resupply.

Treat offensives like a slow exhale. Push, consolidate your supply, push again. The campaigns are long enough that overextending once can cost you an hour of careful progress.
